Note: Please monitor this page for important bugfix information! If a bug has been found or fixed it will be reported here. Please report all problems to the UltraScan mailing list.
This website provides public database support for the UltraScan Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to users of the UltraScan software. You can use this portal to store your sedimentation data and associated data for your experiments in the UltraScan LIMS. Authorized users can use this portal to gain access to our HPC supercomputing resources.
This release offers a number of new features, among them is one that allows exchange of finite element models between different methods. All models can be loaded into the new Finite Element Matching program that allows to view residuals, time invariant noise, and 3D distributions for Spectrum Analysis plots. Also available is a new portal that permits access to a remote cluster for faster 2-D spectrum analysis on a parallel system. Also available is a downloadable archive of the complete UltraScan source code.
For more information, please visit the UltraScan Workshop page.
This release includes an important bug fix in the enhanced van Holde - Weischet method that avoids the "Not enough datapoints for divsion..." error. Also, the equilibrium fitting routine has been re-written to gain a significant 12-15 fold speedup during fitting, especially for very large datasets with many scans. This version also includes a preview of the 2-dimensional spectrum analysis.
Please mark your calendar for this year's Analytical Ultracentrifugation Workshop. The workshop will focus on problem solving with the analytical ultracentrifuge. The topics will range from hydrodynamic theory, experimental design, hands-on software training with UltraScan for data analysis and presentation, the new LIMS database system, and training on how to maintain the XLA/I instrument and diagnose instrument problems.
This release includes several bug fixes and offers three new ports of UltraScan: NetBSD, Sun Sparc Linux, and Sun Solaris 9.
This is mostly a maintenance release with several bug fixes and also some GUI improvements.
